Beacon View is proud to be the first independent practice in East Kent to offer an Advanced Practitioner led surgical service, bringing high level surgical care closer to home.
This means no long journeys or unfamiliar referral centres, just trusted, advanced care from the Canterbury based team who already know your pet. Our investment in cutting-edge technology and advanced training allows us to deliver exceptional outcomes while keeping your pet comfortable and close.
We know that the idea of surgery can feel daunting. Our friendly team are here to support you every step of the way with clear communication, kindness and honest advice. From your very first phone call to the day your pet is back on their feet, we make sure you feel listened to, informed and reassured.
Advanced Practitioners are highly qualified vets who’ve completed postgraduate training and achieved additional certifications in their field. Andy, our surgical lead, holds Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Surgery, officially recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
It means we can handle many complex soft tissue and orthopaedic cases right here at Beacon View, offering an excellent alternative to distant specialist centres, with the added benefits of convenience, cost clarity and continuity of care.
Andy leads our advanced surgical service. Andy achieved RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in 2023 and holds additional certifications in both general Small Animal Surgery and Advanced Small Animal Orthopaedics.
He brings over a decade of surgical experience from busy hospitals and a specialist referral centre, combining exceptional clinical skill with a calm, collaborative approach. Andy is passionate about working in partnership with pet owners and referring vets to find the best outcome for each pet.
