About Beacon View
We work to a different beat than most practices. It is our belief that our team should be able to dedicate their time into working up cases and caring for our patients successfully and effectively, therefore consults are a minimum of 20 minutes. Working up to three patients an hour as opposed to 5 or 6 improves client communication, compliance, and reduces the team’s cognitive load. It gives us time to work cases up to a high level and build a bond with owners. We work on low client numbers to vets ratio and we have a client waiting list.
Since opening in 2020 our practice has seen significant growth in popularity and our close knit team are the driving force behind everything we’ve accomplished, championing veterinary independence and innovation.
We have been presented with awards from the BVHA and VMA, and in 2022 Vet Dynamics furnished us with the “Inspiring New Practice” award, followed this year by the “Outstanding Leadership” award.
Being a responsible business is very important to us, and we are accredited by the Good Business Charter, which covers everything from environmental impact to team wellbeing.
We don’t run targets, our team focuses on providing the best care they can. We don’t sell pet shop products or extras; we are focused on being exceptional vets and nurses.
We are proud of the experience and expertise within our team. We are continually investing in our team and equipment, this year we purchased the latest range of laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment. We believe in nurturing talent within our team, and have heavily invested in both clinical and non-clinical training across a wide range of topics and certificate levels.
We are fortunate to be able to work up most cases in house, and with a varied caseload we offer a wide range of services to existing clients and referrals.
The retention of our independence means that by working alongside our team day to day we have an inherent understanding of everyone’s needs and aspirations. We have regular communication with each member of our team, treating everyone individually with trust and honesty.
We pride ourselves on our culture and look after the team's wellbeing. We are partnered with Olivia from Human Savvy to independently assess and advise on our strategies, as well as our performance as leaders. Our team has access to external coaches to help support their development, and we are long standing members of the Vet Dynamics community which helps our practice to thrive and grow.
Over the course of the year, we come together as a team for various events. These have included trips out for dinner, a visit to the water park and Go-Ape, and thought-provoking sessions at our journal club and workshops.
