Cats Friendly Vets

From the very start we designed Beacon View to be a Cat Friendly Clinic, to minimise stress and meet the specific needs of our feline friends. Our efforts were awarded the highest gold standard ISFM award.

This is an internationally-recognised accreditation and certifies the practice meets rigorous standards set by the ISFM. We are ecstatic that our dedication to cats has been recognised, and we are the only vets in the Deal and Sandwich area to have been awarded gold cat friendly status.

At Beacon View we understand that cats have very specific needs. Cats not only have a range of diseases which are completely unique, they also have very different temperaments to their canine cousins and should be handled and treated in a different way.

Taking your cat to the Vet can be stressful for both you and your cat. That’s why at Beacon View we have taken every possible step to minimize stress. We have a cat only waiting area and dedicated consulting room, so there are no doggy smells to be worried about. Our team are Fear Free trained professionals, experts in cat friendly handling and care.

We are very confident that our cats health is in expert and caring hands. The practice was recommended to us by a family member because of the excellent and prompt treatment her pet received. Claire and team always seem to have time to listen and speak to us and know our, and our cats foibles. It's reassuring that we can get blood test results quickly, Our cat had to have several teeth extracted which is a tricky operation but it went exceptionally well, and the cat made a full recovery,. We have already recommended to friends. Thank you Beacon View. You're a great team

Our poor little Dachshund has had more than her fair share of trips to the vet including having surgery on her knee. Beacon View are the most amazing vets and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after her now. Every member of staff we’ve met is super friendly and always take the time to get to know the animals. Appointments aren’t rushed and you always leave confident of a plan, they take the time to explain everything to you so you really understand decisions being made. The space is lovely too but most importantly the care for the animals is second to none.

Amazing vet! Claire and team are so great! Stanley my 11yrs old lab is extremely nervous around new people and situations and they were so good with him. I am so very happy to have found this team of great vets and animal lovers.

I would recommend Beacon View Vets, the team provided a warm welcome, calm and relaxed environment and gave my injured cat all the care and love they could possibly give. She (Phoebe) is fully recovered and enjoying the wind in her whiskers and basking in the sunshine, as well as staying away from the bigger cats.

Highly recommend Claire and her team at Beacon View. My two usually stressy cats took their annual jabs in their stride this morning. Separate waiting areas makes a huge difference and the facilities are fantastic. Thank you Claire and the team.

Fabulous place. Friendly and welcoming.. clean and modern with some very well thought out ideas to make the trip better for both owner and pets. You can see Claire loves the animals - your animals will be relaxed and happy in her company and I wouldn’t hesitate to take my animals here again.

Wonderful service from Vet Claire and Josh today - video consultation (thanks to the current restrictions) and eye drops ready to collect straight away, all straightforward and reassuring. Thank you!

Our first visit to Vet Claire was a breeze! Our 9 week old Labrador pup was perfectly happy to go off in Claire’s cuddling arms for a check up. Clean bill of health given and I could even watch her with the IPad! Such an amazing service and we’ll be back next week!

Three weeks ago, Snoopy, our 10 ten year old Jack Russell, had a growth removed from under an eyelid. From initial consultation through to the op. itself and aftercare, Claire and everyone at the practice looked after him superbly well. Snoopy is now back to his handsome self and actually enjoys visiting the practice. That has never happened before
