It’s been just a couple of months since our brand-new clinical area opened its doors, and it’s safe to say it’s already transforming the way we work and care for our patients. After months of building, planning, and preparation, seeing it in full swing has been nothing short of amazing.
From Old Bungalow to Modern Clinical Hub
The journey began with a vision to create a space that truly reflects the standard of care we provide every day, modern, efficient, and built entirely around patient comfort. The project took around six months from start to finish, turning our old bungalow into the light, bright and spacious clinical area we now call home.
When we first walked through the finished rooms, late one evening before the team and patients moved in, it was hard to believe the transformation. Today, the space is alive with activity, from quiet recovery in the upgraded wards to the hum of advanced equipment in our theatres.
What’s Inside (and Why It Matters)
Every part of the new area has been carefully designed to make a real difference — both for our patients and for the people who care for them.
- Two large theatres with keyhole and arthroscopic towers – Smaller incisions mean less pain, faster recovery, and fewer complications for our patients.
- A dedicated preparation room – Keeps everything organised and flowing smoothly so our team can focus entirely on your pet’s needs.
- Upgraded accommodation facilities – With underfloor heating, adjustable lighting, and improved ventilation to keep recovering patients calm, comfortable, and warm.
- A dedicated imaging suite – Linked to external specialists, giving us quick access to expert opinions for faster diagnosis and treatment planning.
- A 32-slice CT scanner – Captures detailed images in seconds, helping us detect issues earlier and plan the best possible care.
- An isolation area – Protects vulnerable patients and helps prevent the spread of illness.
- A dedicated dental suite – Allowing for safer, more comfortable dental procedures.
- Full climate control – Keeping patients (and people!) comfortable year-round.
