Registered Veterinary Nurse
Becky joined the Beacon View team with a wealth of experience in small animal practice and a strong passion for patient care. She has been a qualified veterinary nurse for almost ten years and enjoys the constant learning that comes with the role.
From a young age Becky has always loved animals and felt she had a natural understanding of their needs. Veterinary nursing felt like the perfect career, allowing her to combine that passion with the ability to make a real difference to animal welfare and comfort. As Becky says, “I love that in veterinary nursing there is always something new to learn, I’m never bored.”
At Beacon View, Becky particularly enjoys being part of a friendly and knowledgeable team and values the time available to provide thorough care for patients while they are in hospital. She takes pride in making sure each patient’s individual needs are met, helping them feel as comfortable and supported as possible during their stay.
Clinically, Becky has a wide range of interests including medical nursing, anaesthesia, and pain management. She is particularly interested in local analgesia and nerve blocks, feline nursing, emergency ultrasound, and senior pet care. Becky also enjoys running clinics for patients with long term conditions such as diabetes and performing Schedule 3 minor surgical procedures.
Outside of work Becky leads a very active life. She volunteers with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue as a Marine Mammal Medic, helping to respond to stranded marine mammals. She also enjoys going to the gym, scuba diving, attending music gigs, and spending time at home with her cat Mable and her two Shih Tzus, Sasha and Fluki.
