Tessa Loftus

Veterinary Surgeon

Tessa had the ambition to become a vet from a very young age. Her passions for science and medicine started at school, and this combined with her love of animals meant that it was really the only option for her!

After graduating from the University of Liverpool Tessa returned home to Ramsgate (and the Sea!). After working at another practice for several years it was time for a change and we are delighted that she joined the team at Beacon View.

“Being a vet is both challenging and rewarding, and every day is different. Helping to improve the quality of life of pets whilst building relationships with them and their owners is wonderful.”

Tessa is a wonderfully kind and compassionate vet who has a particular skill in internal medicine, particularly endocrinology and diseases such as diabetes and hyperthyroidism.

A keen runner Tessa will often be found at a Parkrun on a Saturday morning, but also enjoys taking on a half or full marathon! Tessa has two rescue dogs, a Galgo called Vino and a Lurcher called Rufus.
