Rhinoscopy Canterbury and Thanet

Rhinoscopy is a diagnostic tool used by our vets to examine a pet's nasal chambers. It involves using a specialist instrument, called a rhinoscope, to view the inside of the nasal passages and sinuses. For safety and comfort of your pet, the procedure is performed under general anaesthesia which allows a thorough examination. We offer this from our practice in Eastry, which is close to Canterbury, Thanet and Dover.

Rhinoscopy has several advantages for pets:

Biopsy Sampling: Rhinoscopy allows the vet to take biopsy samples if necessary, which can be used to identify specific conditions affecting the nasal passages.
Retrieval of Foreign Bodies: The vet can use the rhinoscope to retrieve foreign bodies from the nasal passages, which can cause discomfort and health problems for the pet.
