Babis is a European Diplomat in Cardiology and regularly visits Beacon View, we have very proud to be able to benefit from his expertise.
Babis earned his veterinary degree from Aristotle University Veterinary School in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1998. He honed his skills as an intern and working in a small animal clinic before pursuing a PhD in feline cardiomyopathies at the Royal School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh, which he completed in 2003. Afterward, he completed a residency in small animal cardiology at the Royal Veterinary College in London and was awarded the title of diplomate of the European College of Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in 2007.
Since 2007, Babis has been providing referral services for small animals with cardiorespiratory issues in the South East of England and London region.
Babis has a wealth of publications, and is a well-known speaker and lecturer both nationally and internationally. He is passionate about all aspects of small animal cardiorespiratory medicine and has a special interest in interventional cardiology.
