Veterinary Surgeon
Julia has always been an animal lover and started acknowledging her interest in becoming a vet at a very young age.
Julia was born in Krakow, Poland and that is where she initially studied. Julia graduated from University Centre of Veterinary Medicine JU-AU, Krakow, Poland in 2019. While she was studying at the university, Julia had the great opportunity to join the Erasmus programme in Spain and gain a year of clinical experience at The Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Cordoba.
After graduation, Julia decided to expand her knowledge by doing an internship in the Small Animal Department of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ghent University in Belgium. She then moved to England to further her career.
What is your passion in veterinary medicine?
“The veterinary profession is highly rewarding. It is fulfilling to use your analytical skills and medical knowledge in order to recommend the appropriate treatment. I also love veterinary medicine for the diversity of challenges we conquer every day.”
Julia has a special interest in ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound is a quick, non-invasive diagnostic tool that can provide valuable information for diagnosing and directing treatment. Currently, she is involved in a postgraduate programme to become a GPCert in Diagnostic Imaging.
Julia currently lives with her flatmates cat, Betty, who can be very mischievous, but they adore her all the same.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
“I don’t have a favourite destination. I think there are so many beautiful places around the world that I am looking forward to exploring. As long as there is sun, a beach and delicious food, I will always be happy.”
