Veterinary Care Assistant
Lottie has always harboured a deep affection for animals since childhood, which naturally led to a desire to work closely with them. This passion crystallised during her time at college when she delved into Veterinary Care, discovering a profound interest in the field.
At Beacon View, Lottie relishes the multifaceted nature of her role. She finds immense satisfaction in providing top-notch patient care, relishing the opportunity to learn something new with each passing day. Additionally, her enjoyment of being client-facing allows her to forge meaningful connections with pet owners, enhancing the experience for everyone.
“I joined Beacon View in February 2024. I joined because I really like Beacon Views’ mission and vision as a practice. I also really like their fear free approach to pet care. The team are great and everyone is always happy and smiling.”
Outside of her professional life, Lottie shares her home with a delightful 3-year-old Border Collie named Louie, alongside a history of caring for dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. She is eager to contribute to Beacon View’s force-free consults and further her knowledge through related courses. Additionally, she derives great satisfaction from inpatient care and has a burgeoning interest in imaging.
With seven years of experience working with animals and two years specifically in veterinary practice, Lottie brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Her journey began in a dog kennels and cattery, followed by a stint at a dog walking and training school, where she conducted obedience classes. An internship as a keeper at a zoo further enriched her understanding of animal care, providing valuable insights.
When not immersed in the world of veterinary care, Lottie indulges in a variety of hobbies. She finds solace in playing the piano, relishes the physical challenges of climbing and hiking, and spends quality time engaging in agility and scent work with Louie, her Border Collie.
